Learn to Play is a program that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community and for participants to develop fundamental skills to help them succeed both on and off the ice. Created jointly by the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL). Learn to Play’s goal is to inspire youth and welcome more families into the hockey community.

Everything you need to know about the Little Sharks!

Your options are attend our make-up Fitting Day, Fit your child through Pure Hockey’s online portal, or receive a refund.

Yes, you are welcome to choose a size up for your gear, however if you choose this option, we will not offer exchanges if the gear does not fit.

While we highly recommend participants take a Learn to Skate class prior to Little Sharks, it is not required. However, participants that are more comfortable on the ice will get more out of the Learn to Play program.

Yes, missing one class won’t be a problem; however we recommend that all participants attend the first and last classes.

Ticket information will be provided at the end of the series.

Your children can still participate in a Learn to Skate or introduction to hockey program such as Hockey 1, 2, 3, Pre-Hockey, Hockey Tots or any equivalent program but cannot participate in any other Learn to Play programs.

We currently only offer 2 sessions of Little Sharks per year - one in the Spring and one in the Fall, however we encourage you to participate in a Learn to Skate program prior to Little Sharks, if possible, as participants will get more out of the Learn to Play program if they are comfortable on the ice.
